I use the bob mainly to run. But when we go away for the weekend and plan to run, we'll use it around town and it works just fine. I have a city mini for everyday use though. Much easier to load and unload into a car and a city apartment (when we lived there)

We have the BOB and have used it as our primary stroller for 3 years now. We take it everywhere. When the BOB seems like it's not going to work, I use the ergo & babywear.

We love our BOB, and we actually cart it around in the car more than we thought we would. Our second stroller is a B-Agile. It's a fine stroller, but after pushing something as smooth as the BOB it's hard to get excited about it. And thought an umbrella stroller would be nice, we've never needed it.

@oliviaoblivia: I love this!!! I've just ordered a new umbrella-fold and I plan to leave the old pushcahir with my inlaws (who are going to have her three days per week from 17th Feb). The inlaws are on my case about not "wasting money" and insisting that they don't need a dedicated pushchair but I'm sure as heck not carting the pushchair in and out of the car six times per week!!!!

@Beebug: same here! Dd only napped in the BOB due to the awesome suspension!

@looch: I guess we might have gotten lucky but I've gate checked the BOB on the two airlines we have tried. :)

The BOB is really big... I wish I had gotten a "regular" stroller too. But right now we are doing ok with our maclaren! We've been using it since dd was about eight or nine months. I don't think it had to be a Maclaren though...a cheaper umbrella stroller probably would have done the job just fine...maybe the first years?

Our Bob is our jogging and primary stroller. We also have a double for all-day excursions like Disneyland. Our last stroller, currently, is an umbrella (UB G-Luxe) for travel and days I don't need much storage space strolling around. I'll probably use it more than the Bob now though because my baby bump is getting bigger and it's getting uncomfortable folding and lifting the Bob into the trunk every time we use it. I would def recommend an umbrella to complement having a Bob.... Not necessary, but a nice option to have.

@Ms.Badger: Unfortunately, I rarely used my BOB so that's why we ended up selling it. I bought it at first hoping it could act as my one all-around stroller, but it was so heavy and cumbersome.

Then once my daughter started STTN, it was easier for me to wake up early to go for a run instead of using the BOB. We also didn't really have the opportunity to take it on rough terrain before #2 was born. Thankfully, it's resale value is great!

I have a cruz and was going to hold off on buying the bob for another six months or so since I'm only 34 weeks pregnant. But this sale might push me into buying it now. Part of the reason I chose the cruz over the vista is because I knew we'd get a huge jogging stroller since we both run. So in my mind, they go well together!

We used te snap and go (Chico) and then the GLuxe. They served as our car strollers. The Bob is for running and walking around the neighborhood. It is very cumbersome compared to the GLuxe. That said, now That my LO is almost 35 lbs, the GLuxe is not as easy to push around. It's not hard by any means, just not as smooth as the BOB. The GLuxe is great for taking up little space in my trunk at pushing through the mall or zoo.

@SupernovaJ: I was able to sell my 2-year old used BOB revolution for $280. Usually the original retail price is around $350 for the single BOB.

@NorCalWayfarer: When we had the BOB, we used the Britax B-Agile as our other stroller. The BOB was just too bulky and heavy for my liking for everyday use.

I have the Chicco Cortina Keyfit 30 snap and go set which I mostly still use as my primary stroller (combo)...the snap and go is key! Now that R is 7 months, we have been using the BOB for anything that we leave directly from our house (runs, errands in walking distance), but the Chicco is used for any car trips.

Once she is out of the infant seat, the BOB will most likely become our main stroller....(or maybe a new umbrella? haha)
