The company doesn't always send the same crew of 2-3 cleaners. I like to be there to give them instructions as they move to different areas. Also I check on their work as they leave one spot. We have a hidden key in a lock box with a code that we leave, and we just set out a check. I find they can clean more efficiently without someone in the way, plus I find it way awkward to be there when someone is working in my home. And I made DH leave the house, too. I, personally, wouldn't want to work in someone's house when the homeowners were home. Also, I wouldn't want to be at home while someone is cleaning my house. We don't currently have a cleaner, but DH works from home a lot now and I will be at home with the baby for a while, so I don't know how that would work in the future.
