I also decided last minute to invite them and only gave one week notice. We just went to a birthday party last night, and the whole class came except for 1 classmate. One was because the parent is a single mom and the older sibling was sick. It was DD's BFF so she was pretty bummed. But I also did not invite the whole class (20 kids) and just invited the 9 she is closest to and talks about the most. It turned out to be 16 kids, about 6 more than I expected. Every single one RSVPed yes and showed. I had never even heard of some of those kids. I planned to have a B list for my friends' kids but we were maxed out as it was.
