I had a lot of problems getting pregnant initially, and I had two miscarriages. Ideally, we'd start trying when he was 1 year old. But, I was on bedrest with LO and I think it will likely happen again, and I'm nervous about that given where my husband will be career wise. DS is currently 16 months old and I'm not ready for another quite yet. We might TTC next year. It will really depend on our financial status and DH's deployment status. He was deployed for my entire pregnancy with DS and the first 4 months of his life. I have no desire to go through that again. I'm sure at some point I'll want another one though so my ideal timeframe would probably be to start TTC when she's around 3 or so which would give us almost 4 years between them. I want them close enough that they can do things together and have the same interests (it's hard entertaining kids at vastly different developmental stages) but far enough apart that we only have one in diapers/high chair/stroller.
