There's an Old Navy and some other great shops nearby. It's a little annoying hauling it on the El, but the shopping's good so I do it. We end up staying in the neighborhoods more than actually being around tourists. </p> <p>That said, I am a block from Wrigley Field and we walk around the stadium (when not under crazy construction) all the time and go to games a lot. And we shop on the Mag Mile occasionally and love the architecture boat tour and all the museums are great with our toddler. They offer a ton of free days for residents. We love Italian beef and eat it all of the time. I miss Chicago style hot dogs while pregnant. Mostly because we go for free (DH works there.) We go to downtown disney all the time. Haven't been to any other attractions yet, with the exception of a few restaurants on I drive. But there are some great bakeries and one of my favorite yarn shops is there). I also drive past the Space Needle every day and sometimes take photos when it looks particularly cool. I've been known to hop on the ferry to Bainbridge Island "just because" on a nice day, though not since LO was born... I've done it three times and would recommend all my out of town guests to do it. I get a Costco gift card ($100 gc for only $80... 20% discount). Go for lunch since it's cheaper than dinner prices. Also, because you go up for lunch you get a free trip up to the observation deck. Tickets for just the observation deck is $16 pp! The city center is really gorgeous and I walk by a lot of the main sites on my way to other neighborhoods. We probably go once a month.<br /> I used to work across the street from Radio City and 30 Rock so that was fun at Christmas time. I mean, the tourists EVERYWHERE wasn't fun :-). But getting to see Radio City and Rock Center decorated for Christmas was nice. I got to walk by the big Christmas tree and skating rink every day, how cool is that?!<br /> Also love the Delacorte Music Clock in Central Park. I'll stand and wait an extra 20 minutes waiting for it to go off.<br /> We also like to do walking tours of the city, maybe 1-2 a year. It's a nice thing for my husband and I to do.
