I pretty much just sent a message back saying that I was sorry they were having trouble, but that it was tested and 100% functional at the time of purchase, so you're not open to doing a refund. She sent a nastier response back and then I was a wimp and blocked her from sending me messages. With ebay or something they could open a case, but with stuff like craigslist that's kind of part of the risk you take. We sold something electronic that we know was in working condition. A week later the buyer has contacted us requesting a full refund stating that it doesn't work. The email was very accusatory and defensive about how they didn't possibly damage the item. This was a small purchase (less than $50). I always specify that I'd like to come by and take a look at it, instead of saying I want to buy it.</p> <p>But it's still a little awkward when I leave without buying. It has been a couple months though... basically I purchased a mid century couch stated to be in excellent/ perfect condition and it is broken. The frame is detached and a rusty spring is poking out the bottom. It wasn't cheap and I even paid for curbside delivery. </p>
