I measured pretty much on target until the end then I measured a bit big - baby was 9lbs 6oz, eek! But I was also overdue. I'm sure you'll be fine, esp since its baby 3.

You'll be ok. My mom was 5' even and 104lbs and birthed two over 8lb babies. I'm 5'4" with a small frame and my son was 8lbs even. It was fine.

@BandDmommy: I measured pretty large twice (two pregnancies) and had very average babies in between 7-8 lbs. Bad mommy can't remember exact numbers, forgive me I'm tired :silly:

ETA: I was measuring large due to a little extra fluid, not big babies.

I measured ahead in fundal height by 2 weeks consistently with both pregnancies, and it seems like it will be about the same with this one too.

DS was 7 pound 1 and DD was 7 pound 2, both born at 40 weeks. I'm not too worried about the size of this baby, it will be what it will be. I am short with a short torso too, and a petite frame also.

I measured 2 weeks ahead at 37 weeks, baby was an average size though - 7 pounds 11 (3.5kg). my placenta was large though, maybe from the progesterone I took in early pregnancy. I also seemed to have a heck of a lot of amniotic fluid when my waters broke.

The furthest ahead I measured was 3.5 weeks at 28 weeks and still was one to two weeks ahead at every appointment. Baby was 9 lbs 1 oz born at 40w4d via induction, my doctor was scared of how big he was measuring.

I measured ahead (up to 4 weeks ahead) with DD for a good part of my pregnancy. As I approached full term, though, things evened out and she was born at 7 lbs 4 oz. Pretty average in the end!

My son measured large all over (and specifically his head was nearly 4 weeks ahead) and my doctors encouraged c-section because of his size. They were predicting over 10lb if 40 weeks. He wound up being not that big at 8lb13oz although his head remains off-the-charts large. I think the head through off the other measurements and I felt coerced into a csection when it might not have really been necessary.

I'm 5'2 with a small frame and babies were 7.5 lbs and 8.75lbs (I gained the same amount with both). Honestly it depends on how they are positioned too. DS was bigger but delivery was easier bc he was in position.

When DH announced the weight of DS I was shocked!

My fundal height was always ahead with DS, and ultrasounds showed him measuring 5-7 days ahead too. I'm 5'1 with a very short torso. My last ultrasound was at 39 weeks and estimated him at 9 lbs. He was born two days after his due date and weighed 8 lbs, so not huge. I was enormous at the end but the delivery was not bad.

LO was 8lbs exactly at birth - I measured and carried large mostly because I have a very short torso. FWIW, I was just under 5lbs when I was born and my brother was near to 9 and my mom said it was MUCH easier to birth him than me. She went med-free with him, and said the entire process was much easier, so you never know!
