I felt like I regulated quickly...like 6 weeks? And now at 4 months, when she STTN (like once or twice a month) I'm engorged but not in a screamingly painful way.

For me, it took awhile -- when I returned to work after maternity leave, I was still having engorgement issues so I'm going to guess DD was between 4 and 4.5 months old when things leveled out, and probably 6 months before I didn't get engorged overnight anymore. I actually did block feeding for awhile to cut down on my oversupply, so I fed her off the same side 2-3 times before switching to the other for 2-3 feedings. An easy (though not terribly fashionable, haha) way to keep track of which side to feed from is to keep a hair elastic on your wrist on the side you'll use next, then switch it at the end of the nursing session.

Around 12 weeks I stopped being randomly engorged. I still get engorged in the morning and at night if I wait past 10pm to pump now at 21 weeks

I usually only feed off one side. Sometimes both during the day but only one in the middle of the night. One boob has gone all night before! I can't remember for sure when my supply regulated but maybe a couple months? I do remember being so frustrated with milk getting EVERYWHERE at night and that definitely tapered off. I haven't woken up engorged in weeks now.

Per feeding, when did your supply regulate? It's been a week or so since I've cut back and last night Ds did a longer stretch than usual which didn't help the engorgement but there was a few times where I couldn't even tell which side to feed from because they were both so full. During the day it's mostly evened out and I've been diligent about not repeating the same side.

The only session I pump the side he doesn't feed from is in the morning as I'm adding to our stash and because I can't wait until the next feed for relief.
