Stir with a plastic spoon (*Tip: never use a metal stirring utensil in your glass french press!*) We don't even set a timer.. just stir again around 4-5 minutes, press slowly, and voila! We'll never go back to drip again. Also, buy an inexpensive grinder and grind your own beans. I think it was $20 or $30 from Target. DH is a coffee snob so he uses filtered water we keep in the fridge.
