It's useful enough that I can use it for other devices in the car for long trips as well. It's best to get a car adapter. They're reasonably priced on amazon. Do you use a battery pack? I've got the Medela pump in style and want to try pumping in the car when I start work next week. I think pumping on my 20 min drive would really help me out, but I worry about the battery suction not being strong enough. Also, do the batteries tend to die quickly? </p>
