When I started back at work, because of my job, I was only able to pump twice even though DS ate 3 times. Ideally, I would have pumped whenever he would usually nurse. The past few months DS's schedule changed and I was able to pump at the two times he usually ate and then he was ready to nurse when I got home, which was perfect for us! He then had a bottle every other day until I went back to work.</p> <p>He is 8mo now and has 3-4 four ounce bottles while I am at work (7:30-5:00). On the weekends he is only breastfed. If we have a lng weekend or vacation he has a bottle every other/every third day. We just tried to make sure that he had a bottle every couple of days to make sure he still took it, but he wasn't too picky with it. I never had him have a whole day of bottles before I went back to work because I knew that he took a bottle fine already and I wouldn't have wanted to pump at home and give a bottle too.
