I did use the wipes to wipe them once a day so that helped too. The reasoning that I heard and made sense to me was that breastmilk is good in the fridge for 3-8 days so why would refrigerated parts be any different. Once in a while I would use it overnight (i.e. pump before bed, refrigerate, reuse parts in the morning).
