@Purpledaisy: My LO is only 2 but my in laws are always making comments about when he will turn, so and so's child loooves facing forward(illegally in one case). It's like they think it will make him a big boy but like you said it's less safe and we're in no rush since he still meets the requirements of his seats.

We just turned DD at 3.5 months. We turned her because we needed to bring home a bunch of stuff from ikea! We kept her FF because she now no longer requests one of us to sit next to her on car rides.

We FF when LO hit the RF weight limit, right after his fourth birthday. My second LO is nearing the limit on his seat but we might get a different one to keep him RF longer.

We turned him when he reached the weight limit for his seat. He was just short of 3.5 and still perfectly happy rear facing. We have a Graco size4me, so height wasn't a concern, but he reached the 40lb rear facing limit.

He's 2.5 now 36" and is still comfortably RF. I guess we'll wait until he outgrows the height limit, but with the Radian, that might be a while!

DS turned 3 in October and he's still RF. I'm not sure when we will turn him. I'm thinking when he turns 4 or hits the limits of the seat. He doesn't mind RF, so figure might as well keep him that way.

DD will be 3 in March and is still RF. We will probably turn her sometime between then and June when the new baby is due. We just can't fit two rear facing car seats in our cars without having to move the drivers seat up too far. I'm not happy about it but it is what it is.

Also, *mini rant*, my grandma is so excited and wants to know when we flip her so that she can flip her seat in her car too... She knows how unhappy I am about FF her! Im just like let's not get too excited about her being less safe in the car! 😒

He seemed to hit the height limit on his seat. I think the limit was pretty low compared to other seats because he is not tall.

Lo will be 3 next month and we have no plans to ff any time soon. We'll rf until she meets the limits of her seat. She loves being in the car so I assume she's comfy and has never asked to be ff.

DS1 is 3 years and 2 months and still RF. I was thinking about this the other day and realized by the time DS2 outgrows his infant seat, DS1 would be at least 4 yo, so we will probably turn him then to avoid having to buy another convertible.

LO is 3.5 and we haven't turned her yet, although she does FF on the rare occasion she is in my parents or MIL car.

DD1 still RF at 3 and a month. We have no plans to turn her until she meets the limits of her seat or DD2 needs to move up. DD2 is due in May, so odds are by the time she needs a new seat, we'll be 4+

We almost made it and we turned LO 1 two months before she turned 3. We switched because we thought it would be more comfortable for her and we were also sick of comments from our families.

DD1 just turned 3 and we've had her mostly RF unless she's in a secondary car like DH's or my mom's. She doesn't care which way she faces and I think actually it's probably more comfortable for long car rides when she's RFing because she can put her feet up instead of them dangling off the front.

I was thinking we'd get her a new harness to booster when DD2 needs the convertible seat in 6 months or so but DH reminded me that we can just use the other secondary convertible. So we may not flip DD1 until she grows out of the height limit! Who knows.

If you had your kiddo RFing until 3, what made you finally turn them FF? Or have you not yet?
