I only run with it unlocked, unless I'm sprinting or going down hill. Otherwise, I don't go faster than 7-8mph and the unlocked wheel does fine. Any faster and the wheel goes sideways and can make the stroller fall.

I used to run with it swiveling, but found once I got used to running with the stroller, the fixed position was so.much.easier.

I do, I think its safer.
Its annoying to turn sharp corners (like changing direction), but I can sort of lean into it for more gradual turns. I find it much easier to run with in the locked position because I can use one hand (which is recommended for running posture), and it takes no effort to keep it straight if its aligned properly (which, admittedly, took a little tweaking).
I hate running with a stroller in general- its just not the same and I"ll never be able to go as fast as I can on solo runs, but I've gotten used to the bob now and it works.

I do. Our neighborhood is old, so the roads and sidewalks are pretty bumpy. I feel liked the locked position is safer. It is annoying to do the turns when walking or running slowly, but it doesn't bother me once I get in a groove.

I don't run with it typically but once I ran with it unlocked by accident and almost tipped it when we hit a bump in the sidewalk, it was like the wheel didn't have time to react, it went sideways and I was going forward and the whole stroller made it halfway to the ground before I was able to right it. So my advice would be stick with locked unless you are on very smooth terrain.

Do you run with the front wheel in locked position, like the directions say?
I ran with DS yesterday, and its SO much easier in the free position. I found it really hard to steer with the front wheel locked!
