Luckily, her husband said something to us, but I would have felt horrible if I had asked her about the babies. My one neighbour told us at 8 weeks that she was pregnant, and I didn't mention it again unless she did or until she was showing. I ran into one this morning, while on a morning walk with Charlie. She said hi and I said hi back, but I didn't say anything about her pregnancy.</p> <p>It would've been a nice friendly thing to say, but there's a small chance she had a miscarriage and I didn't want to risk it. If I was closer to them, maybe I would risk it... but for someone I know casually, it just feels like too much of a risk.</p> <p>If you see an acquaintance that you know is pregnant, do you say something when you run into them? </p>
