My LO1 screamed for an hour the first night (it was sooooo torturous) but she slept all night, instead of waking 3-5 times like she usually did. The next night, she cried for 30 and slept all night. The third night, she cried for 5 minutes and passed out for 12 hours. I became a CIO #1 fan. After that, she would go to sleep without a fight and sleep for at least 12 hours. She's still a good sleeper at 3.

Totally worth it, IMO. My kid never cried for more than 5 or 6 minutes before conking out.

We sleep trained for going to bed only, and kept the motn wakings, which was down to 1x night by then. But I continued to hold him for all of his naps for another 1-2 months!

We started sleep training our 6.5 month old last night using some controlled crying. She already knew how to fall asleep on her own at night but woke up 5-7 times a night and naps were a disaster.

Last night was rough. Naps today have been surprisingly okay. I can't wait until she starts to really improve, hearing her cry is killing me! But I know we need to do this, she's gotten increasingly cranky during the day since she's only getting interrupted sleep. How long did it take your LO to "get" sleep training?
