My doctor told me that there was a 45% chance of not finding out what the cause is. I went through, what I think is, standard blood work and other testing. The dr. didn't find anything. I am now on rounds of clomid and progesterone since they are not harmful to take and can possibly assist. I think this is the standard doctors use for people who don't have an actual diagnosis. I am currently in the first cycle of using the clomid and progesterone and don't know yet if the medication helped. So many doctors still don't believe in autoimmune causes of IF and MC and it seems to be very promising in explaining issues we face. Its also super expensive to keep testing every possible little thing. Lots of bloodwork revealed nothing. For the next pregnancy, I did progesterone (previous pregnancy tested fine, but it can drop), baby aspirin, and acupuncture. I don't know if any of that made a difference, but that pregnancy did give us a now two month old healthy baby boy. I had 2 miscarriages that were very different in nature (blighted ovum and one that had a strong heartbeat which stopped at 8w). My one doctor thinks I got unlucky twice because I have a healthy 20 month old.. My doctor who I had with DD (we've sknce moved), thinks both were due to low progesterone. I had at 2 losses in 1.5+ years, and I suspect there was at least one more in there. I was put on Lovenox after ovulation and immediately became pregnant, and it stuck finally. After my 2nd loss I was referred to an RE and went through several different types of testing. From that the issues were low ovarian reserve, my TSH level was 3.9 and the RE believes that my eggs are releasing too soon before they are mature and one small polyp. I am taking CO Q10 and Letrozole to help with egg maturity. I had surgery to remove the polyp and am also taking Levothyroxine which brought my TSH levels down to 1.5. After all that... Now I am having issues getting pregnant. I am in my TWW after my first IUI on the 15th.
