The bottom row of cubes is for shoes. By our back door, we just have a good sized mat and leave them there. Extra shoes live in our room, but our most frequently worn shoes are by the door. We don't sit to put of shoes on, we just bend over or squat to tie them. Most of the time we wear slip on shoes so its not a big deal but my husband is the worst offender and he wears sneakers a lot. We have an open concept house and we come in and out through our front door. We have a small foyer but not really any place to store a bunch of shoes. Also no place to sit down to put on shoes. Any good storage ideas?
