In between 15 and 16 weeks for me! Everyone kept telling me that it would be like a switch flipped once I began my 2nd trimester, but it was a pretty gradual thing. I just started feeling less sick here and there until it eventually disappeared.

It's no fun, and I hope it ends for you soon!

I've only thrown up once since about 18.5 weeks (30 weeks now). It started to slow down to like once a week rather than everyday around 14 weeks, but then I travelled overseas at 16 weeks and it got a lot worse before it just finally stopped!

I was prescribed Zofran with my first pregnancy because I was losing too much weight from throwing up and being sick. The Zofran kept me from vomiting and make the nausea not so bad. That being said, I had morning sickness until 16ish weeks the first time and a tad bit longer this second pregnancy.

Oh, and I also had late third trimester morning sickness with both pregnancies. That is one thing I really wasn't prepared for.

Hate to say it, but 22 weeks was the magical week for me both times. I've thrown up a little less this pregnancy since I haven't worked every day like #1, but it didn't help the lack of appetite our feeling like ass for so long. Hang in there

I vomited daily and felt extremely nauseated until 18w which is when Zofran kicked in and stopped the vomiting. The nausea continued until maybe 21w, with small bouts here an there but no vomiting. I am not sure how long the vomiting would have last if it weren't for the Zofran.
I am so sorry you're going through this! Trust me, I've been there! I know it isn't fun. But, when it is gone, it'll be a figment of your memory.

@mrskc: I thought that too...now I'm pregnant again with an 8 month old, haha! I couldn't wait until my doctor's appointment for obvious reasons, I called before she had ever even met me because I just couldn't take it anymore, and she called in a prescription. And yes, letting your stomach get empty is bad! I totally felt the same way though about not wanting to eat something once I threw it up. If you have some safe foods that usually sound good and go down well, I'd send your DH to the store to stock up!

@wonderstruck: We will definitely be done with kids if this lasts my entire pregnancy! But I'm hopeful it won't. You poor thing! 5+ times a day?! I see my doc at 16 weeks so if it isn't better by then, then I'll talk to him about a prescription. I hate beans! but makes sense about the bile. I've realized i can't let my stomach get empty because that's when I want to throw up. Problem is I'm not in the mood to eat and I'm running out of good snacks. Once I throw something up, I don't want to eat it anymore!

@mrskc: Not well! I won't even get into the details because it would totally be thread-jacking, but I seriously questioned our decision to have a child about a million times. But Zofran was seriously a lifesaver for me, maybe you should consider asking your doctor about it. Although it didn't stop my morning sickness, I went from throwing up like 5+ times a day to once or twice. If you're already throwing up just once or twice it would probably downgrade you to some nausea with no throwing up.

Other things that sometimes helped...lemon-scented things, sea bands, and refried beans (I guess beans help bind together the bile making you sick?)

I voted 16, because I remember that it really started to taper off at that point. I think it had completely stopped around 17 weeks.

From 4.5-16 weeks, I threw up 5-6x a day.
