He settles down after &lt;5 minutes. It's so sad when he's begging me to lay on the bed with him. But when I lay down I get super tired and just want to fall asleep. But he doesn't fall asleep when I'm there. The once in a blue moon he does fall asleep while I'm laying there, as soon as I go to get up he wakes up and starts crying. But then he started wanting us to sit with him in the MOTN and that coul take like an hour. He has a green light-to wake alarm clock, so I spent a few days talking to him about how evryone needs to spend the whole night in their own bed, and when it's wake up time, he can come get us and we will come out and be with him, but while it's night time everyone stays in their own bed and sleeps. ANd we talked about how he can hold his lovey's hand in the MOTN. Later is almost always after she falls asleep on her own. </p> <p>It also helps that the dog sleeps in her room. It was exhausting! It lasted a month or so. We eventually would tell her that we needed to go potty, sort of implying we'd be back, but not come back unless she was really upset. Right now our 2 1/2-year-old needs one of us in there to sit in his chair until he falls asleep at night. And then he wakes up sometime in the night and insist that we either sit in the chair sleep on the floor. Sleep had gotten so bad that we had sort of given in and we're just doing it, but now I feel like we really need to break the cycle. If this happened to you how did you do it? </p>
