@gotkimchi: yes! It gives you some leeway-unless you're wanting to be a body builder, they don't have to be 100% perfect :) I do egg whites, veggies, and a lean-ish protein (lately it's been turkey kielbasa sausage!) in my bake when I'm trying to tighten up my macros. Lots of seasonjng and protein....350' for 50 min or so. Easy peasy!

@blackbird: thank you for the advice! I'll have to try an egg bake. I thinking aiming for more of a range is a good goal so I'll try that as well

I do macros and over time, I just know what has about what in it. A range is acceptable to me: 50/30/20 to 40/20/20 so I have some leeway. I try to hit my protein as a priority. And for breakfasts, I do tend to eat the same thing. I make an egg bake and cut it up for the week. Snacks are usually the same only because I'm lazy. 1 cup of cottage cheese or some greek yogurt and nuts. Sometimes 4 oz of chicken :) my husband doesn't complain because we do shake up dinner. And frankly, he can feed himself if he is going to be ungrateful. He buys lunch if he isn't a fan of the leftovers for lunch. He doesn't do macros, so he has some leeway. Dinners are usually a protein and veggie for us, sometimes a good carb like sweet potatp or brown rice but sometimes not

I use MFP and use the pie chart option to get an idea of where I am. I often program the next day the night beforr. So I know what to pack but also where I need more nutrients

@gotkimchi: Two big pieces of sourdough toast with a little garlic salt, and a big glass of skim milk with a little bit of chocolate sauce in it. About 500 calories, 25 g of protein. This is my power breakfast - I feel off the whole day if I miss it for some reason.

My husband is also a creature of habit, thankfully. I don't know how I'd cope if he needed a ton of variety! I cook the same 10 or so meals with small variations, for the most part, and we all love it.

@sarac: what's your breakfast? I'm ok repeating meals and using leftovers but my husband isn't a big fan :/

@MrsKRB: that's a good idea! I'll try that. Protein is hard to hit!

I eat the same thing for breakfast every single day of my life, and the same few things for lunch and dinner, and it really helps me to keep my macros in line. I don't track, but I know approx how much per meal and per day I want to hit in terms of percentage.

I could never eat the same thing everyday, I think that's the benefit of IIFYM because you are able to eat whatever you want :) I typically meal plan for the week ahead choosing healthy, higher protein recipes and plug it all into myfitnesspal, then add snacks based on whatever I am missing from my meals.

Do you just eat the same thing every day? Or do you eventually figure out I can have about 1/2 cup or carbs and this much meat per meal? I feel like I can never get my macros right or I have to plan the day before exactly what I can eat
