I actually had to return mine because once we lowered the crib they were useless. I actually ended up buying Carter's thicker bumpers. I asked my PED and he said after 6 mos, I wouldn't need to really worry about him suffocating against them as he now can easily turn his head.

We still use it at almost 16 mos. It doesn't bug him and I figure it helps keep the paci inside the crib.

We're still using ours at 13.5 months. It keeps his arms and legs from getting stuck and also keeps his pacifier in the crib. I think it would just flatten if he tried standing on it.

Our bumper is still in as well. It doesn't support her weight when standing but she likes to use it as a leg rest.

We still have it in even though he's standing... It got
so soft that i don't think he could even use it as leverage to try and get out, and it helps keep his pacifier in the crib and legs inside ...

We are taking it out when we lower the crib next week (9 months) not quite standing yet, but well on his way there! He did great not getting stuck in our borrowed crib on vacation this week, so we are going to try it without it.
