One twin was on Neosure and the other was on Enfacare. (Neosure gave DS lots of gas and Enfacare helped.) Oh, they were on the 24 calorie so a bit more powder than what is suggested on the bottle.

They were both on it until at least a year. I think 13-14 ish months and after I got the ok from the dr to switch to whole milk. I gradually started putting more and more whole milk when I made it. I know some switched to whole milk cold turkey but I guess I had enough formula left to do a gradual switch.

They are still tiny under 5th percentile and the dr said it was my choice if I wanted to supplement. I started adding a scoop of pedisure to their milk cups at around 18 months old.

We used Neosurw with the twins for I think about the first 9 months before our pedi played us to switch to regular (I seriously asked all the time because it's so much more expensive and with two on it I felt like my whole paycheck was going to Similac!). I was really nervous about switching, so we did it gradually (think we started with 3/4 Neosure to 1/4 regular and slowly worked it down over a week or so). They never balked at the change at all, so I probably could have just made the switch from one bottle to the next but who knows!

If you used a preemie formula for your LO, at what point did you switch? And what did you switch to?

DD3 is 8 months old - when she was new, I did a combination of formula and formula mixed with breastmilk to up her calorie intake since she was IUGR and not gaining weight well. At this point I'm facing less pressure on weight gain (though she's still very small), and no longer use formula as a supplement (I breastfeed, and if she gets a pumped bottle, I don't add formula). I'm just finding that as I go back to the gym and don't have much frozen breastmilk, I need to be able to leave her a bottle in the childcare room, and am about to run out of Neosure. The cannister says "for the first year", so I'm thinking I'll just stick with what we know, but I wanted to see if anyone else had experience with changing formulas, particularly if it's for occasional use only, and knows if there
might be a reason I should consider switching.

Thanks!
