Just keep in mind the temps are slightly different. He felt very warm to me, so I would say it's as accurate as you can expect. At 2.5 we are still using the rectal thermometer! I think I started using the underarm one more for my son around age 2? Honestly, as I've become more experienced as a mama I've taken temperatures less and less. Thats what her pediatrician uses.. </p>
