I started using it when DS was sitting up a bit and didn't like being contained in his car seat while in the shopping cart. So I would stuff the excess around him to hold him up. After he could securely sit up on his own, I quit using it. LO is just sitting up well and I opened the one I received as a gift and I kind of hate it. It takes forever to put on and the sides are open so it doesn't totally cover the cart. I would definitely prefer to get one that has the elastic edges I could just pop on, but I'm not sure it would be worth the expense if in a month or two I'll just give up on it. </p>
