@travellingbee: the first time they weren't checking and whatever it was, it was enough to work by cycle 4 when it stuck. The second time I also did 4 cycles and I think 3 and especially 4 were getting bad. I tried 100mg for cycle 4 and I felt like it was a pointless iui because lining was so thin. I'm certainly not a standard case though with the chemicals and I think it is very individual whether it will thin your lining so just a reason to monitor and ask questions if the numbers are low. I've also heard femara can be better for lining but my re didn't do it.

@bhbee: how many times did you do a Clomid cycle before you felt like it had really affected your lining?

I have pcos (but had long regular cycles again post pregnancy #1) and unexplained repeat loss. Baby #1 came from clomid at 100mg after 2 chemicals at 50mg. Baby #2 came on a break from clomid where I also had 2 chemicals on 50mg. We did clomid to try to give an extra push but it also destroyed my lining. I was on metformin the second time too which may have helped with the success.

Clomid (100 mg) worked successfully for me 3 years ago when I conceived my daughter. I took it because I was not ovulating on my own.

We have been TTC #2 for a year now. Tried clomid twice with my OB, didn't work. Twice with an RE with IUI, didn't work. Now we are taking a few months off to try on our own. If that doesn't work, we will move forward with IVF.

I have been following your journey these past few months and wish you much luck!!!

I have PCOS and was anovulatory. I was able to get pregnant with the help of clomid twice.

Best of luck to you!

I got pregnant twice with Clomid, prescribed by my gynecologist. It "fixed" my lack of ovulation but unfortunately, both ended in early miscarriages. I eventually moved on to an RE where I've had 2 successful pregnancies with the combination of Clomid and Injectables + IUI. Good luck to you!

It works best for anovulation, but also improves the rates for unexplained infertility and short luteal phase. The other less utilized (but better option IMO) is femara.

Clomid fixed my lack of ovulation - the model clomid issue. I was the perfect candidate, and it worked perfectly. For you, I'd say give it a try for a month or two, but then move on.

It worked for me! I have PCOS, and I had long long cycles, most of the time my period wouldn't even start on it's own. I also wasn't ovulating at all.

With my first round of Clomid, on the lowest dose, I finally ovulated on CD31 (Which is pretty late, I think) but it was a BFP cycle for me. Now I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with this sweet little baby!

I hope that Clomid works for you!! It was actually covered 100% by my insurance, so definitely very cheap!

I used it to help strengthen ovulation and lengthen my lute all phase.

What problem did it "fix"? I ovulate on my own, but I have poor egg quality, high FSH and low-ish AMH. I've had trouble getting and also staying pregnant. My RE isn't hopeful it will help but thought it was worth trying since it's so cheap (compared to IVF). So we're thinking next cycle we'll start a monitored clomid cycle. Not sure how optimistic to be.
