For example, for this pregnancy, I knew we would start trying in August, so I started using OPKs back in June. I did the same thing a few years ago when we were trying for LO. It helped me feel more prepared. I didn't plan on using OPKs but work hasn't been great and has really made me want to just have a baby and go on mat leave. So I caved and bought some OPKs. DTD leading up to and day of, the last one we DTD *only* the day of. (We planned to wait another month but weren't set on it, and DH decided not to pull out on that day, not knowing I had a positive opk.) Also, I'm sure we continued to DTD after each time, but not for TTC purposes. The first five months using OPKs we DTD every day during the fertile week with no results. The sixth we DTD the day of my smiley then skipped a day, and DTD on O day. We got our BFP a few days ago from that cycle. We also added in preseed that cycle. TBD if this is a viable pregnancy as I don't have a confirmation appt until 8 weeks.
