However my sister and her husband were both premies (4 lbs 4 oz, and 4 lbs 5 oz) and their daughters were 8 lbs 9 oz, and 9 lbs 2 oz...their doctor said parent's birth size does not affect size of baby. </p> <p>However, I will say that my sisters and I have yet to have a baby under 8 lbs, so maybe if you have a sister judge on that? I was 9lbs 9oz, DH was 9 lbs 3 oz, lo was 10lbs 1oz. I was induced and gave birth on her due date.
