I loooove old architecture and have lived in some great old spaces (our current apartment was built in 1905!). So if it was from an era with good taste, I'd redo to that standard with some modern touches added. If it was built in the 70s or 80s though, I'd probably want to redo completely. </p> <p>I do hate that so many renos these days just update to today's suburbia standard. We just bought a 100 year old home that has some updates, some old updates and some original character. I would like to gut it all eventually but save the stained glass.
