Can’t respond to the poll, but super fast spontaneous labor on my due date. DD1 I was induced at 40+5 and had a 10 hour labor.

To answer my own question—planned induction for 41 weeks but went into spontaneous labor at 40+5 and delivered 40+6.

@Bea: I was induced (for complications) with my first at 38 weeks, but had a scheduled c-section with my second (who was breech) at 39 weeks.

This wasn’t really listed: I had my membranes stripped at 39 weeks with #2 and my water broke the next day. But my contractions never started so I was put on pitocin once I went to the hospital. Labor was much faster though!

I was induced at 41 weeks the first time because, among other things, the baby's heart rate didn't sound good. I ended up having a c-section for the same reason.

I decided I would either have a spontaneous labor or a planned c-section for the second (not another induction). I scheduled my c-section for 40+6 to give myself some time, but I never went into labor.

I voted spontaneous labor (which was true with #2), but for #3 I had to be induced again...for a different reason, though.

Induced with my first at 42 weeks. Had 4 stretch and sweeps and was only ever a 1 cm dilated. My water broke at 39+5 this time, two days after my second successful stretch and sweep where I was a 3/4 and I had had two rounds of “labour inducing” acupuncture. I had a stretch and sweep at 37 weeks and was a 1/2 and at my 38 week appointment she couldn’t find my cervix to do another one so I was very disappointed. I was happy when she could do it again at 39+3 and I was significantly more dilated. I didn’t really feel any different during the weeks 36-the end of pregnancy either. I was trying hard to avoid another induction or going past my due date so I’m happy with how it went.

I know it’s so hard to tell how things will go down.

I was induced at 41w+1 for no real medical reason. Just wanted pregnancy to be over and doctors were slightly worried about a big baby. After 9 cm and 24 hour induction, I had a csec.

My second I went into spontaneous at 37 weeks and had a Vbac. Did nothing special for this pregnancy except take care of a very mild 3 year old.

I was induced by not b/c I ran late... Rather with GD I got induced at 39 weeks. But at that point I was no dilated, not effaced, nothing. With my 2nd labor happened on its own at 37 weeks.

So I didn't quite make it to my induction but I was scheduled for one and then ended up going in to labor 12 hours before the induction. But with my second, it was totally different. My water broke at 37+6. So I don't think one induction is an indication of another!

Two inductions for different reasons. Lo1 I was being monitored for Low fluid and was induced at 37 weeks. Lo2 was induced at 41 weeks. I’d been making some progress but stalled and wasn’t dilating more (I was like 3 I think? But not having contractions); turned out the cord was around her head, keeping her from descending

Exactly what the title says. If you were induced with LO1, what happened with LO2?

LO1 was induced at 40+2. All was fine, no medical reason. We were just given the option of that day or 41 weeks. I had had no dilation progress for 3 weeks.
I’m 37+3 with LO2 and would love it if it happened on its own but know there’s no way to predict what will happen. Doctor couldn’t find my cervix at 37 weeks but said it was very soft.

What’s been your experience?
