I have always known I would not find out. Yeah, one of my friends "joked" with me "oh you're one of those people." I think there is truth in every joke. When people ask me more than once if I am going to find out, when I know they have not just forgotten but are just pestering me I say, I told you we are not finding out, my answer will not change, so I would appreciate it if you stop asking. Politely, but clearly.

I get back by teasing the crap out of whoever gives me a hard time. Team Green is my choice, though, so it might make a difference since it wasn't your idea to begin with. :/

It hasn't bothered me, but I am surprised at how many people have SuCH a strong reaction to us not finding out! I know my mom would prefer we find out, but has been very low key about it. I'm so grateful for that! But doesn't help much with advice. On a funny note, I had a coworkers call me a dirty hippy because we are team green- haha!

A couple people were annoyed but I just tried to annoy them as best I could. Towards the end I got a lot of positive comments from people... The labor and delivery staff were especially excited we were TG since it is getting more and more rare around these parts

Yeah it annoyed a lot of people and they let it be known. None as blatant as your mom though. I don't get it- how does t bother other people so much??

Mostly people complained about not being able to buy the cutest clothes. Ummmmm you can buy from my registry if you need to buy something ;)

I had a few people who made negative comments, but I basically told them to shove it because I am blunt like that ;)

All the time. Half the people were like I don't understand why you don't find out or I don't know how you can plan without knowing! Honestly, just give it time and hopefully, she'll get over it!

Did you ever have anyone give you a hard time about your choice to not find out the sex?

My husband is really excited about the surprise of not knowing, and I was on the fence, so I decided to go with it. My parents have known that we would do this since before I was pregnant. I am now 20 weeks and I have heard my mom complain about it every single time I talk to her, and I talk to her at least once a week, usually more. She mentions it in a "joking" way, like she's teasing me, but at this point it's really starting to get old and it doesn't feel like teasing any more, just like a giant guilt trip. I have already told her once to not give my DH a hard time about it because she was talking about calling him and bugging him until he changed his mind. I guess since she feels like she is complaining to me, and not him that it's okay.

I'm at the point where I feel like I need to say something again, but she can be very sensitive and I need help coming up with a nice way to ask her to stop it that hopefully won't make her defensive. Any suggestions or experience with this?
