But when working remotely (which I do 99% of the time), I almost always work from home. I just don't like working in public places personally, although my boss would have no issue with it. And I have done it a few times when my internet was on the fritz. Also I tend to work on vacations/visits to family since "work from home" also = "work any time there is work to do regardless of the day/time" for me... so I work in other people's houses too.</p> <p>@MrsD2442: I'm a lawyer (civil litigation). We are not a volume practice (i.e. I don't have 400 low budg cases, I have like 10 higher value ones) so I don't have a TON of meetings or court appearances, and whenever I don't have to be somewhere in person I work at home. She's fine with it. I've done it in the past where I needed to check for news and post something on the website only if something came in over Christmas, and that was fine too. </p> <p>Once the weather gets better, I might go to the park to work, especially if I'm proofing something. I occasionally go out of town for the day with DH and work from coffee shop while he's at his office.</p> <p>I've never explicitly asked my office if "working from home" means 100% working from home to them or just working remotely (I'm not self-employed). Curious if anyone else switches if up occasionally and if you know how your office feels about that. </p>
