But if I were to continue working full time, I would have sent her to after school care at the same Montessori pre school she is at now , and they do the pickup. They pick up the kids from the elementary school, so that's convenient. My MIL is retired so she said she would be happy to pick him up and take him back to our place a few times a week if we wanted her to. Yikes, that's way before the end of our work day!</p> <p>Apparently there are afterschool programs you can sign your kid up for... or you can do a carpool and have one parent watch a few kids one night a week. Or you could do a nanny share for the afternoon too.</p> <p>If you work, what will your LO do after elementary school gets out around 3 pm? </p>
