How's your week going? </p> <p>I had a similar experience today. DD has always been grumpy with me all day and then happy to see DH at 5.15pm. But today, when I went to get her after work, she was so excited to see me! She was in her walker at my inlaws' house and she bounced over to me (she uses it a bit like a jumperoo, making it move by bouncing!!) giggling and grinning and then lifted her arms up to me! When I picked her up, she buried her face against my chest like she was giving me a big hug. Today she spent the afternoon with her grandparents (she calls my mom "cookie" - that tells you something lol) and when she saw me she said "oh hi mama! I feel like I'll blink and he'll be a teenager and never want to be around me. Totally irrational, but I had a meltdown at 1 week pp thinking about it. I've been noticing more things since becoming a mom, especially when it comes to my students. I love how my 4-5 year old boys are still sooo excited when their mamas come to get them in the afternoons. The ones who are the "tough guys" all day run into their mom's arms and give them huge hugs. DD just started reaching towards us/up at us this weekend. When I came home from work she and DH were playing in her room. I crawled into the room and hid behind DH then popped out and she got the biggest smile on her face then started giggling and excitedly reaching out towards me. That was the first time she's ever done that! I totally teared up. It makes it a little easier to go to work knowing I have that to come home to :heart: </p> <p>Was your LO excited to see you today when you got home from work or picked him/her up at daycare? </p>
