Picking him up and walking around usually does the trick, and so does the pacifier.

Assuming they're not hungry (since then nothing but being fed would stop it!) with L it was the vacuum cleaner. I haven't found a surefire cry-stopper yet with D but bouncing him usually works.

Boobs. Doesn't matter if they are hungry or not. Nursing always works!

And that's why we are now stuck in the situation where I'm the only person who can get them down for naps, put them to bed, soothe them when they are sick, etc. :silly:

*usually* just picking her up makes her happy, but the only absolutely surefire guarantee though is our dog. As soon as she sees him she stops crying and starts smiling. And if we get him to sniff at her? Giggle abound. Best. pet. ever.

What is/was the surefire way to get him/her to stop? (assuming not hunger related)

Ours is the bouncer seat. Leg cycling can also distract him, especially if he has gas.

We recently discovered he enjoys a dramatic rendition of "Wheels on the Bus," too. Ha!
