We had her in the napper portion of our PnP in our room until 3 months when she outgrew it. Then she went in the bassinet portion of it for about a month when we moved her to her crib in her nursery.

DS1 - pnp bassinet and then just the pnp
DS2 - rnp

Both worked equally well for us. The rnp takes up less space which is why we used it for DS2.

My baby is almost 12 weeks and we've been bed sharing for the last 3-4 weeks or so. Before that it was a mess - we tried the bassinet next to my bed for about a week, then he slept in a swing for a couple weeks bc that was the only place he would sleep longer than 1.5 hrs and i slept on the couch since it was in the living room, then we tried pack n play in the bedroom and he would not have any of that so that lasted about 3 days. Finally brought him into my bed and we've BOTH been sleeping through the night ever since (he sleeps 8-9 hours now!). I don't recommend this bc now i never want him out of my bed and he really should be sleeping in his crib.

Our LO was in her crib in our bedroom from day 1. It was at the foot of our bed. We just moved the whole crib to her room when she was 6 months old.

The only thing I'd do differently is maybe put the crib riiiight next to me,so I didn't have to get out if bed at all--although, with the crib at the end of our bed, my husband was equally likely to get up and get her.

Pnp bassinet! Until 5.5 mo (last weekend! Lol). I got a quilted sheet to put on it to make it slightly softer. Transitioned her into her room and crib at the same time. She is hyper aware of her surroundings so I think being in a new room threw her a little for falling asleep on her own, but the crib didn't seem to phase her at all.

We did crib from the 2nd day on with DD, but I slept in her room for at least the first week. With this one we are doing the PNP in our room until I feel comfortable moving him to his room. I am only using the PNP because we already have it, I was toying with the idea of a bassinet or RNP, but didn't want to spend the money.
