It turns out she was a much mroe wild child than I ever was. It's been REALLY effective and helps him see that we relate to the difficult decisions that have to be made when it comes to friends/"fun" vs. the "right" thing to do. I've never disclosed something "just because" those.. I only bring it up when it's been relevant to something we've observed in DS's behavior or friends. During college, I was a "good girl" and I graduated in 3 years instead of 4. I didn't even taste alcohol for the first time until I was 20! DH on the other hand, definitely had a more stereotypical college experience. Still not sure what we'll tell our kids though.
