No. She went through a super clingy phase and it drove mecrazy. It probably explains the tendonitis i have in my wrist! If i really can't, i tell her, "Can you please help me walk?" I know it makes no sense, but anytime i ask her to help me, she'll oblige!

@Mrs. Bee: my almost 17 month old hates the stroller and always wants to be carried too. It's so hard running errands with her because she won't sit in a shopping cart either. I tried to put her in a cart the other day and she screamed bloody murder. Ended up having to take her out :( I wish I had some tips but I'm working on this right now too... Trying to be strict and forcing her to sit doesn't work too well bc she ends up throwing such a huge tantrum.

@T-Mom: she's not a fan of eating but does like to watch me cooking! But the hard part is she doesn't want to ride in her stroller and wants me to carry her everywhere... Or she throws a tantrum!

My DS wants me to carry him when I'm cooking as well! But I think he is genuinely wanting to see what's for dinner haha... He's all about food and will say "hot" and try to stir the food. Maybe she just thinks dinner smells yummy?

Most of the time, for a few minutes at least. Mostly I'll just throw her on my back in a carrier if I need to get things done.

Olive (21 months) is going through a very clingy phase. She hangs onto my legs and begs to be picked up constantly, usually when I'm in the kitchen cooking. She doesn't even want Mr. Bee to carry her, or if she does let him carry her, it's for a very short period of time before she wants to be back in my arms.

She is perfectly fine if I'm not around of course, and is generally a very independent little girl.

I try not to pick her up every single time she asks because she is getting heavy and I don't want her to need me to pick her up every time!

How do you deal with a clingy toddler? I don't think Charlie went through this phase so this is all new to me!
