She was still nursing maybe 3-4x per day but only in the AM/PM. That was at 12 months. I usually nursed when I woke up so she'd stay asleep for a little longer. Had to cut out any before bed or early morning snacks, maybe nursing once or twice a day but pretty close to being weaned.<br /> I got pregnant when they were about 21 and 27 months and neither time did I ever have a period. My period returned two weeks after she dropped to one nursing session per day. I got pregnant the next cycle so I suppose it was regular right away. Cycle is nonexistent, but then again I have PCOS so that's probably to be expected. I imagine it won't return until I wean. Though everyone's body is different, if your cycle didn't return until after nursing, how long did it take? </p>
