Are you allowed with a doctors note? We stopped swaddling cause they changed regulations so we couldn't even swaddle arms out. So she naps in just her clothes. I leave a sleep sack there but she doesn't use it.

I didn't realize mine didn't allow swaddling until I brought her the first day... so she went cold turkey. That being said, I think they cheated a bit... they would let her fall asleep in a vibrating chair or on a boppy and then transfer to the crib. Sometimes they'd let her cuddle with a light blanket... I guess there was an exception to the "no blanket/swaddle" rule if it was a lovey... so we said her A&A blanket was a lovey. I felt like they were watching her pretty closely, so I was comfortable enough with that.

Now that she's 8 months, she sleeps in her crib in her daycare clothes without anything except for a lovey jellycat bunny.

I think a sleep sack is a good idea if they allow it.

My daycare also said they didn't allow swaddling, but then I got a note from the pediatrician and they agreed to it. Might be worth a try?

Yes. Ours wouldn't allow the swaddle blankets because they could come loose and cover the face. But they did allow te sleep sac/swaddle combos.

My daycare does not allow swaddle blankets/wraps of any kind for naps. I totally understand and appreciate this from a safety point of view, but now I'm wondering how to keep LO snug and warm at daycare during her naps. If you can't swaddle for naps, do you send sleeper pjs with LO for nap time? Or do they just nap in their normal daycare clothes with no problem? Did your LO get used to napping with their arms out? I'll be asking daycare for tips on Monday, but thought I'd throw it out to you guys for help as well.

I'd been trying to only swaddle her from waist down to try and get her used to having her arms out, but she isn't reacting well to that. (Understandably; she's only 6 weeks old) I finally gave up today and said daycare could deal with it... bad me. :p
