I'm so glad to hear that most of the LOs eat the food. I love that it will help out with the timing of our morning/evening routines plus of course, saving money on groceries in a high cost of living area is great. I read in the handbook that we should not send extra food. I think we will still go with this center.

He usually eats all or some of it. They do a snack around 3pm and I pick him up around 4:30. Dinner is usually at 6 so I bring him another snack on the car ride home - usually a fruit pouch, cut up fruit, or a few crackers...Then I offer him milk when we get home.

We send a lot of extra food for her each day.

Their "Breakfast" is just usually a muffin (small) and a few pieces of canned fruit. Not enough to get her going for the day. So we send a banana or yogurt or something.

Yes, daycare serves food, and as far as I can tell DD loves it. Of course, it's mostly standard child fare -- nothing too adventurous -- and nothing is organic. DD comes home the opposite of hungry. She gets plenty of food at school, and she won't eat much of my healthy and interesting food at home. Instead she just wants for cheerios, graham crackers, and fish shapes at school Ugh.

Funny you'd ask this today. I was just wondering this.
His teachers say he eats it very well. We get his little progress sheet and they circle "ate it all" on the sheet everyday. But, he is really hungry when he gets home.
I chalk it up to the fact that he is way more active there and burns more calories, so he comes home ready to chow down.

It depends on what it is. On days i know she won't eat the food (based on the menu), i'll usually provide extra food. My food monster needs to eat!

It depends on the day. Most days, she'll eat about 1/2 the food at lunch, but still be starving on the way home.
