Everyone kept telling me my second would come earlier. LO1 came on her own at 40+4. I had to be induced at 41+3 with LO2. I was induced at 41+1 with DS and fully expect to go late on all future kids. MIL also went over 42 weeks with DH, who ended up a c-section bc he was breech, then had two more c-sections. So odds are not in my favor! Had two membrane sweeps prior but nothing happened. Water broke on its own at 39+1 with my second, the day after my membrane sweep at 39 week appt. my doc and I agreed we would be happy to have the baby that weekend--I had wrapped up work, she was on the whole weekend--so it worked out really well! I keep saying either he has to come a week before, or at least a couple of days after, but I know he'll do what he wants haha. Haha. They didn't offer it until 41 weeks though. I just saw my midwife yesterday and she said if I wanted they could try it earlier than that this time! 39 weeks would be perfect. My LO2 was due 10 days after LO1's 3rd bday and I was terrified of them sharing a bday, or of being stuck in the hospital on my daughter's bday (which also happened to be Thanksgiving that year). But since my son came so early he was born 6 days before my daughter's birthday and we were back home to celebrate together. PHEW! Twice with DS1! DS2, my water broke the morning after the sweep! I am 36+3 with #2, and I'm just wondering what I might expect. I am kind of mentally preparing myself to go super late again, but it's hard!! Everyone keeps saying 2nd babies come sooner... So tell me your experience!!
