This is so interesting! Different for everyone. DS is 7.5 months and has been army crawling for a month. He will get up on all fours and rock but not crawl that way. He also weirdly gets up on his hands and tippy toes like he's doing yoga quite freqently. ???

Probably about 3 weeks DS army crawled. We do take the babies for physical therapy and was shown how to get DS to stop army crawling and now he crawls on all fours.

My DS started army crawling at 6 months (and he was fast!) and regular crawling at 9 months. He pulled himself up to stand between 7 and 8 months, but didn't walk until 12 months.

DS was army crawling by 9 months, regular crawling at 10.5 months. He's not walking yet and is just shy of 1 year.

@keepcalmcarrie: my 2nd LO is the opposite. He has zero motivation to move around efficiently because if he makes even the tiniest whine his big sister jumps to bring him everything he could possibly want.

My DD army crawled around 7/8 months and never crawled on all fours. She didn't walk unassisted until 14 months but she was crusing around the furniture and pushing her toys around before that.

LO1 basically army crawled from 7 months to 11 months. He was physically strong in every conceivable way, but he just did not get up on all fours and really crawl until the day he turned 11 months. I won't lie, it stressed me out toward the end. But he was just not in a hurry.

LO2 popped up on all fours at 6.5 months and never looked back. I think he was much more motivated to keep up with his older brother, so he wasn't messing around with slowly dragging himself from points A to B.

My kiddo started army crawling at 6 months. She didn't crawl on all fours until 9 months. Even now at 10 months, she's about half and half on which she does. She's faster with army crawling, and likes that she can hold toys while she moves.

How long until they crawled on all fours?

My older daughter never army crawled. She just crawled across the room out of nowhere at 7 months. My younger son is 7 months now and can army crawl quite well. But I've never once seen him on all fours. I'm not worried per se, he can get where he needs to go, sits up independently for long stretches, and is only 7 months anyway. I'm mostly just curious if and when I can expect him to real crawl. He loves to hold on to something and stand up so part of me thinks he might go straight to walking.
