She figured it out immediately, and has never made a mess. She sucks them down! We just use them for the occasional meal on the go. We have really only fed her pouches out and about for the minimal mess factor, so I haven't really let my 8 mo little one feed herself with them...just wondering when I should be able to do that. </p>
