7:30-8PM bedtime here. DH and I work later hours (leave the house around 8-8:30AM. So we don't see him much at night but since he wakes around 6-6:30AM we get a lot of time with him in the morning. He's in a better mood in the morning so I prefer that.

Xander usually goes to bed around 7:00. But we both get home around 5:30, so we both have time to spend with him. I think our bedtime is based more on what time he needs to get up in the morning than anything else. If we worked later and he didn't have to get up by 7:00 a.m., then we'd probably have a later bedtime for him.

Occasionally Hubs will work late and then he won't see Xander before he goes to bed, but that's not the norm for us.

DD goes to bed around 8. DH gets home around 6, so we try to do family dinner and then he does bath and books before I nurse her and lay with her till she falls asleep. It's later than some go to sleep, but she's able to get an hour or two with daddy each day.

7/730 bedtime

Dh usually misses a couple nights a week due to work schedules and commuting (he travels locally) but he gets extra time in the am and takes days off during the wk to offset it.

Ds has always been a sleeper and loves his routine. We wouldn't change our schedule with him. And they still get lots of QT on the other days and winds!

I shifted my schedule to work until 4 so I get to see her more. DH only sees her for max 1 hour before bed during the week since e has a long commute. He usually hangs with her and gets her ready in the morning while I shower. It just is what it is. I'm not going to force her on another schedule because of it. She sets her schedule and we follow it. Honestly, I like the early bed time so DH and I have some alone time every night before we get too tired. It's really important for our marriage.

I love him having an early bedtime. Both DH and I get home at 4:15 and I put LO to bed between 6:45-7:30 so that doesn't leave DH too much time with him on week days but it leaves a lot of alone time for DH and I as a couple which I think is more important for us. It seems like so much more than 2-3 hours each night with LO though, never paid attention to the actual amount! I would really not enjoy a late bedtime for LO :P

I pick LO up at daycare between 3:45-4:30 and DH is already home when we arrive. We are fortunate to work in schools so are home relatively early. LO goes to bed at 7. DH typically plays with her for an hour while I make dinner, then we eat, go for a walk, then do bedtime routine. I feel like we both get to spend lots of time with her in the evening.

We get home between 6&6:30 -- so we have a later bedtime, in fact, my husband is putting LO down now (8:30)... That way we both get some time.... He also naps from 1-3 usually so that probably helps with the later bedtime.

Our 5 month old goes to bed between 6 and 6:30. I'm back to work in 6 weeks and plan to go into the office very early (around 6:30 after he wakes up and nurses) and be able to get home before 4. I'm hoping over time he'll push his bedtime and wake time a little later so I can develop a normal schedule but for now I think it'll work.

My husband usually gets home just in time to put LO to bed at 7, but she chose her own early bedtime. She doesn't nap well at daycare so she's pretty ready to pass out by 6:30-7.

Since you are SAH for now, you have a lot more flexibility with bedtimes and naps.

We have a unique situation in the sense that DH works out of town and doesn't get to see LO every day. This week he is gone until Thursday night. When that happens, we FaceTime every night or in the morning if he is working nights. When he is home, we get back right when school is done and he plays with her and gives her her sippy cups, and feeds her dinner. I usually do baths still. When he is home for his long weekends, we stay home and try to make the most of it. LO doesn't do well when she is tired, so she needs her sleep. She does best with 11 or 12 hours at night, if we can get it.

I get home at 6, and my LO (9 months) goes to bed at 7. We are lucky to have a nanny so he has had dinner and is bathed when I get home. My husband generally does not get home until after 10 so neither of us really see him on the weekdays. My husband does see him in the mornings for about an hour. They have quality play time then and on the weekends.

Not the same type of situation, but my husband is gone out of town 4-5 days a week, so he only gets 2 days a week with our LO. We just make those days my errand/mommy's days out so they can spend most of the day together, and they both love every minute of it and have a ball. Like others said, capitalize on the weekends and enjoy the time at night together! :)

Both LOs go to bed early, usually around 6, no later than 6:30 pm. We don't get a ton of time after work with them and sometimes DH doesn't see them at all. but i honestly wouldn't change it for anything. Once in a while we get a later night in if we have something to do, but most of the time I protect bedtime like crazy and make the most of the weekends :)

I think you know my answers. We get a few hours with her every evening. But we make the most of the short time. A sleep deprived cranky baby is no good for anyone, so she is in bed by 7 and gets 11-12 hours. Can your husband spend time with her in the morning? Since I get off later, I have morning time. DH doesn't see her on class days but will peek in on her

My son usually goes to bed around 7:30. It is not at all unusual that my husband doesn't see him on weeknights because he is not home from work yet. It's not awesome but B is not that flexible about bedtime right now. So DH will usually take a MOTN wakeup or make sure to see the baby in the morning. And he spends a ton of time with him when he has the day off.

At that age my LO was going to bed at 6:30-7 because she has dropped her third nap. DH often did not see her in the evenings. It was tough but in our situation there was no choice - she would melt down otherwise.

D almost never sees E at night....he works later hours. E goes to bed between 7:30-8, and D usually gets off after 9 (sometimes as late as 1-2a, depending on the season). They see each other for a few minutes in the morning, and on Fridays D brings him to school late (he doesn't work until 2 on Fridays).

C naturally does best with a bedtime around 7:30. Dh rarely gets home before 7, often after 7:30, so usually there are a few nights a week at least that he doesn't see her at night. It sucks but is actually better than when he ers there right before bedtime and wants to play instead of putting her down.

We tried keepin her bedtime on the later side but se was waking early either way and melting down at night- no fun. But Dh sees her for a while in the morning before to offset the missed evenings.

@Grace: I'm sure this will get easier as she gets older but right now bed time takes a while bc after she gets a bottle she has to sit up for 20 min (reflux) before we put her to bed and then sometimes it takes her 20 or more min to fall asleep. And she won't currently let dh put her to bed so the bedtime routine is not time he spends with her.

My daughter needed an early bedtime (asleep by 6:30) for a while, now it's closer to 7:30 (she's 1).

We used to put LO down at 6:30 but he woke up at 5am and that made getting my stepdaughter to school rough on him because I couldn't nap him till we got back home. He might miss seeing DH some nights, but my husband's schedule had him home all day at least one day a week so he made up for missing him some nights. Now we do a later evening nap and put him to bed at 8.

eta: now he wakes up at 7 which gives us enough time to take stepdaughter to school and get back home before any meltdowns occur.

I get home with LO at 5 (I'm off work at 4:15ish), and DH gets home around 5:30. It's rushed, but we get 1.25-1.75 hours with her in the evening. We start getting her ready for bed at 6:45 and bed at 7:15. This is since she went down to 1 nap though. Before that, she would finish her last nap at 5 and be in bed at 8. If you shoot for 8, your DH should still get 1- 1.5 hr with her.

Our LO goes to bed around 6:30-7:00 but some nights as early as 6:00. We typically don't get home before 5:00 so we don't get a ton of time with him before bed. It is what it is.
