I've had a sore throat for a few days but it's never gotten worse than that. I am still getting more bumps, so pretty sure I'm still contagious. I can't believe I have to drive six hours to be in a wedding this weekend. Mine wasn't quite that bad but it was definitely one of the more uncomfortable illnesses I've had. It attacked his immune system and manifested into shingles due to his weakened immune system. Our case was confusing because the strain of HFM going around LO's daycare was one that only caused sores inside the mouth. Our LO wasn't ever diagnosed but was feverish for a day or two, then super irritable and wouldn't eat for another few days. We actually thought she was teething, but then the next week, both DH and I got insanely tired and had a few sores in our mouths. So I think we all got it. I got it once as a teenager from my younger brother. I had bad sores in my mouth,fever,aches. The works. It was bad. Then when dd got it last year I got it again. I started getting symptoms and spots on my hands and feet a couple days after DS got sick with it. It was soooo uncomfortable and awful. After lunch today I kind of feel like I might have some sore areas in my mouth, although it could be that we ate wings haha. If I get sick, so be it, but I'm just wondering what the odds are since I'm supposed to be a bridesmaid at an out of town wedding next weekend, and want to prepare myself for what might happen. Of course I'm washing my hands like crazy, but I kind of feel like since I'm constantly holding L, there is really only so much I can do. Did you get HFM when your LO had it?
