DS had silent reflux issues up until he was about 7 months. It got especially bad when I ate heavy milk/cream stuff or peanut butter. And he now (almost 2) has no food allergies at all!

@Pollywog: Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, it being an allergy.

Interestingly I looked back at my photos because I knew I'd taken one a day or two after the rash first started, and it was before I had started eating strawberries. (My dad grows them and brought me some so I know which day that was.) But now I'm stumped as to what else could have caused the reaction since I haven't eaten anything new or different!

That's an allergy. We had full on hives from eggs in my diet, excema from gluten, and GI from MSPI. I'm not sure how well this photo comes out, but it is totally different than the MSPI reaction. He's confirmed to have an egg allergy

@IRunForFun: Both.

Yea I was thinking just taste wise there's a big difference between fresh vs frozen strawberries so maybe your LO would react more to them.

@petitenoisette: Thanks! I was wondering about the potency of fresh vs frozen but I didn't know if that had any validity. Did your DD react to those foods through your milk or just when directly eating them herself?

My LO reacts to certain foods too, strawberries and similR fruits always give her a diaper rash. I think the fresh strawberries really could be more potent than frozen and may be the cause.

I'm just curious whether anyone's LO reacted strongly to foods in your diet that weren't the typical MSPI stuff. I mean I know certain foods can cause gassiness, etc, but I'm talking more of an allergic reaction?

My DD has a dairy intolerance but I've been dairy free for a few months. She hasn't seemed to have an issue with soy. About 10 days ago she developed a rash on her back that I thought was some mild dermatitis or heat rash, but it has gotten worse and spread, so I took her to the ped today.

Ped was stumped. Said it definitely looks like a reaction to something but we have no idea what. We haven't changed detergents, soap, lotion, or anything else. She said it could be something in my diet but I can't think of anything new I've eaten. I've been eating a lot of fresh strawberries so she said to cut those out, but I have definitely had frozen strawberries in smoothies without issue a few times over the past months.

Just curious if anyone else had this experience with random foods? And what types of foods your LO reacted to? I'm going to start keeping a food diary.

I'm attaching a picture of the rash, which is also on her chest, belly, neck, diaper area, creeping up into her hairline, and also a bit on her arms. It doesn't seem to itch or bother her.
