My mom bought DS a 2 pack of security blankets from A&amp;A and I ordered a second set. We lost 1 (no idea where, keep hoping it will show up) and 1 is kept at my IL's since he sleeps over occasionally. I can rotate when I need to wash them.</p> <p>We have a couple of lovey's that DS never got attached to. My twins had loveys they were attached to so i bought backups. They found the backups so then they needed two at a time. I then bought 4 more for each in case we needed backuos for those! She 'lost' one and we were able to successfully swap it with the backup and then found the original in her play kitchen oven. Or at least wash them all together so they get equal amounts of wear and wash.<br /> And whenever we travel by plane I always take one in our carry-on and one in our checked bag.</p> <p>ETA; fortunately my son would be fine now without it (almost 4). And he never seemed to care about a specific one. But I’m glad we took precautions.<br /> Oh and we’ve also never let him take it out of the house except for travel. Like no dragging a lovey to the park or even in stroller. Minimize risk of losing it.<br /> And we had one we kept in the car. For a while he thought it was magic that it was always there waiting for him. I had bought him a teddy in England and he became very attached to it. He was so attached that I had a friend pick up a second one when she went, because I couldn't get them where we were living! We left one teddy at daycare and kept the other at home. He finally gave them up after he was 6! He still sleeps with his AA swaddles (4 pack, different patterns). They are ripped and some have holes, but hopefully they will last until he has outgrown the need for them. DD has an elephant lovey, and when we introduced it (help with daycare room transition) she became super attached. So when I went to buy a backup, I realized its been discontinued! Off to ebay, I bought 3 more :wink: </p> <p>This way we have one and a backup for daycare (it stays there during the week so we never forget it, and I have a backup incase it get dirty.
