That was awesome. </p> <p>So yeah t depends but mostly I carry her out and leave because she needs to be someplace quiet to calm down. If it's somewhere we need to be quiet, like a bookstore, or restaurant, I take him out. In most instances, we leave, especially if she is too worked up to reason with or we are in a place where it is very inappropriate. </p> <p> If she has any bit of non-crazy brain, I basically just give her the ultimatum that she needs to stop (so we can stay) or we will leave. Assuming she stops, we spend a little bit of time talking about how she was feeling, what she could've done differently, etc. I also try to check myself to see if there was something I could've done differently to prevent (e.g., she was too hungry/too tired/etc) or defuse.</p> <p>Even my child-psychology-PhD friend has had to abandon a cart in Target and carry a screaming kid to the car, so I try not to get too worked up about it! ;) But it sucks. I tried to calm her but after 2 minutes she was still going at it, and being in a library I wasn't going to continue trying, so we left. Today she had a fit there again but luckily I was able to calm her. I don't want to have to leave every place she throws a fit, but I don't like all eyes on me either. </p>
