It's Tuesday. Or a full moon. Or the second Friday after the first Monday. Or his socks are too tight.

I don't try anymore.

It's two a.m. and she has a fever. That was the first time I've seen her turn down food.

It happens occasionally. He'll go a few days eating so well and then one day he'll barely eat anything. I try not to stress about it, but it can be frustrating.

I have been racking my brain to think of a time when he hasn't eaten much. But really since he's been a toddler and eating solid foods, this hasn't happened. Even when he had a stomach virus. Even during teething. But when he was an infant he would eat less when he was teething…

When my son doesn't want to eat, it's a sure sign he's sick. But we usually have symptoms pretty quickly after he stops eating.

Usually, it's because he hasn't gone to the bathroom in a couple of days (for him to go 1 day is long) or is having some kind of constipation issue.

When my LO stopped eating it was due to milk/soy allergy. But she was only 2 mo then! No idea about toddler eating.

Our daughter has been eating so, so little for the past few days! She'll take the tiniest nibbles of something, and then refuse to eat more. Almost all of her calories are coming from milk (and not even very much of that).

We're a bit stumped! She doesn't have a fever, she's 3 years old so she already has all of her teeth, and she doesn't seem to be in any pain. But she's just not eating! We're trying not to overthink it, and just hoping that she starts eating again... crossing fingers!

Any ideas? If your LO isn't eating much at all, what's usually the cause?
